‘Notes in the Stacks’ – Rapid City Public Library

RAPID CITY, S.D. ( KOTA TV) People at the Rapid City Public Library enjoyed some ‘ notes in the stacks ‘ Sunday afternoon.

Four musicians participated in the library’s “Notes in the Stacks’ program and played a number of classical songs for the Rapid City community.

The Cantio Flute Quartet is made of current and former members of the Black Hills Symphony Orchestra. The library started inviting a variety of musical groups to entertain and soothe library patrons as they read their books.

“Patrons seem to really love this program. It’s just fun to have it in the library. We call it Notes in the Stacks and It’s fun to have musical performances downstairs and the people really seem to enjoy it,” said Janet Parr, Rapid City Public Library.

This performance will be the last musical performance at the library until April when renovations are complete.
